Lola Castro was named Ambassador of the Quarter for the the final quarter of 2007. Lola is employed with First Victoria National Bank, as Vice-President, in Commercial & Business Development, handling Conventional and SBA Lending & establishing long-term full-service banking relationships. She joined the Chamber Ambassadors in September and has made an immediate impact.
Lola is a strong believer in volunteerism and becoming involved in the community in which she lives. This made the Ambassadors a natural choice for her when she moved back to Victoria. With a passion and dedication of helping people, Lola earned a Bachelor Business Administration degree from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, TX and began a career in the banking industry.
Most of her 17 year career has been in management, serving as a banking center manager in
Lola has always admired what the chamber provides to the business and entire community and the fact of getting involved to help better that community, not only strengthens our community economically, it provides for outstanding quality of life. She's so happy to be involved with an outstanding group of people, like the Chamber Ambassadors, in helping local businesses be successful and stay successful.
Lola, born and raised in Goliad, and her husband, Gilbert, are thrilled to be back in South Texas to be closer to family "Tex", llive in Inez.
