The Chamber relied heavily on the Chairman for the event.  Mike Samford was the chair of the Red Team, Pam Borchert the Yellow Team, James Villafranca the Blue Team, Neal Stevenson the Green Team, Cody Edwards and Fred Sanchez the Orange Team, Russell Janecka and Geri Schreoder the Pink Team and the Runners were chaired by Bill McLeod.  Without the valuable work from these Chairman and their teams there is no way we would have been able to have a successful event.  “Everybody gave so much for the Chamber,” stated Randy Vivian, President/CEO of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, “there is no way without all of the volunteers from Chairpersons to Captains to Runners, we would have been able to accomplish what we’ve done.”  Captains and team members made phone calls and told the chamber story to potential new members.  Runners spent countless time and miles delivering New Member packets and being the Chamber’s goodwill ambassadors for our new members.

The highly successful event was aided for the fourth time by Your Chamber Connection.  “Jimmy and his team are always great to work with, they are professional, know their business and motivate the volunteers beyond anything I have ever seen.”  Vivian said.  Your Chamber Connection has helped chambers raise over $17 million across the nation. 

Jeff Lyon, Chairman-Elect for the Chamber, was awarded “Godfather” this year’s event.  He brought rivalry to a whole new level.  He was matched taunt for taunt by this year’s “Godmother” Geri Schreoder.  Their good natured banter kept things lively and competitive.  Mike Samford was awarded the “Goodfella” award for his faithful participation.  Mike never missed a shift with his team and seemed to be there all the time.  From team pranks to taunts this year’s event was fun and loud.

For all of those who joined the Chamber during the event we welcome you to the Victoria Chamber of Commerce.  For those of you who worked the event, we say thank you.  We could not have done it without you.
