Great food, fun, and live entertainment are in store at Noche en Old Victoria on DeLeon Square in downtown Victoria on Saturday May, 5, 2007. The event opens at noon with a $5 adult admission. Children under 48” are admitted free to the family – style event. Noche is a celebration of the Hispanic culture in the community and is pleased to be returning to the DeLeon Square location which was very popular in years past.
The live entertainment will begin with Johnny Allegria and Gone Country performing earlier in the day at 3:30 p.m., followed by Latin Talk at 5:00 and finally with headlining acts Shelley Lares and Son Siete starting at 6:30 p.m. Son Siete will playing the best in Salsa and Meringue music. Son Siete is returning to Victoria after a popular performance of their Latin Jazz music during the 2006 Jazz it Up! Festival in downtown Victoria. This year’s star attraction is “Little Miss Dynamite” Shelly Lares. Ms. Lares is versed in all types of music and appeals to many genres. Over 30 different vendors will be present with traditional Hispanic favorites to festival foods such as kettle corn, funnel cakes, pizza, brisket sandwiches and more. Delicious foods for every appetite and budget await you at Noche this year. Other vendors offering jewelry, purses, t-shirts, children’s toys and much more will provide a place for shoppers to browse while listening to great live music! The Festival opens at noon and continues until midnight. Sponsorships for this event are currently available and proceeds will go towards scholarships for area youth.
