A broad range of activities such as group sightseeing, exercise, programs and shopping trips are designed to promote independence and foster a more active and healthy lifestyle for Hearthstone residents.

The Arboretum Group and Twin Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center set the standard in long term care. Locally owned, operated and staffed by many long time Victorians, both facilities offer twenty four hour skilled licensed nursing care as well as day care, respite care, and Hospice care. A full line of therapists - speech, respiratory, physical and occupational - are also available as are X-ray services, transportation, beauty and barber services, activities and more. Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay are accepted.

Homewood Residence at Victoria offers Independent Living and Assisted Living in an attractive residential setting. Residents enjoy the spacious one and two bedroom apartments in addition to housekeeping services, transportation services and a variety of social activities. Three meals are provided daily and served in their lovely dining room. For peace of mind, each apartment is equipped with an emergency call system.

AlzCare Assisted Living, 8652 Nursery Drive (361-580-3151) is a Certified Alzheimer’s facility which specializes in the care of persons with dementia. The converted home offers a philosophy of “Person-Centered Care” for up to sixteen residents. Day Care and overnight Respite is possible on a space available basis. It is the only secured facility in Victoria. Staffing is higher than typical facilities in recognition of their residents’ greater need for attention, assistance and involvement. Caregivers also receive two hours of dementia training every month toward becoming “Alzheimer’s Specialists”.
