Texas Vocational
It is expected that over the next 15 years, the need for trained workers will continue to increase in the areas of health care, trade, and business. Private career schools will continue to provide a cost effective alternative to traditional education by providing the workforce with trained workers. Private career schools are the best kept secret in Texas.
Texas Vocational Schools has provided education and hands on training in welding technology since 1967, adding business technology in 1984 and electronic technology in 1988. TVS is an accredited private career school of postsecondary occupational education dedicated exclusively to training students for today's workforce. TVS was founded by H.E. and Angie S. Golden Crescent Tech Prep/School to Work Program
This program represents a partnership between regional high schools, the community college, and business. Projected regional technical/professional work force demands have been identified by occupation. New curricula have been designed that combine academic and technical skills.
Tech Prep programs include up to four years of instruction at the high school level. College-capable high school graduates have the option of entering the work force with marketable skills or going on to college to study and obtain at least a two-year associate degree.
If your work force requirements include an academically-oriented technology degree or a four-year college degree, your needs will be met in Victoria.
And, if you have a special need, leaders at the Victoria College and the University of Houston-Victoria will work with you to develop a program specifically designed for your business. Classes and training can be held on campus or on your job site.
