Museum
wants teenagers (its true!), between the ages of 12 and 18, to participate in our Youth Volunteer Program. Youth Volunteers assist with camps, birthday parties, clerical work, and exhibit interpretation, repair, and maintenance. We depend heavily on our Youth Volunteers for the success of summer camps and other activities during the year.
There is an application and interview process. Veteran Youth Volunteers aren’t required to repeat the interview, but they must update their files and attend the orientation. New Youth Volunteers must return applications and complete an interview by Tuesday May 13th. An orientation for all Youth Volunteers and their parents is Saturday, May 17th, 9am at the museum.
Applications may be picked up at the museum between 10:00am and 5:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday. You may also request an application by calling (361) 485-9140.
