The League of Women Voters, in partnership with the Victoria Television Group, will be hosting a candidates forum for the 2008 primaries on Monday, February 25. The event will begin at 6:00 pm and will be held at the Welder Center (214 N. Main). The forum will be broadcast live on TV and then rebroadcast until the March 4th election day. Moderator will be Diane Boyette. The League will also have copies of their US, Texas, and local Voters Guides.
Invited to attend are candidates for US Senator, US Representative, State School Board Member - Dist. 2, County Commissioner - Prec. 1 and Constable Prec. 1. We've already had acceptances from several state and nearly all local candidates.
