| VETERANS DAY PARADE - Thursday, November 11th, 2010. The Veterans Day Parade is organized by the Victoria County Veterans Council. It has been a tradition for
Victoria
to have a Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony each year to celebrate this important veteran holiday. The Veterans Council invites you to be in the parade this year. The entry deadline for the parade is October 15, 2010. The theme will be patriotic. Red, white, and blue decorations and flags are suggested. Note: Any equine entries will be placed at the end of the parade. Display of a coffin in any form will not be allowed. More than one entry per organization is permitted.
This year the parade and ceremony will be at a different location because of work in the vicinity of the courthouse. The lineup will be in the vicinity of the Community Center. The parade route will be along
North Street in front of the Community Center to Ben Wilson and then turning right to end at the back of the Community Center. The line-up starts at 8AM the morning of the parade. Line up positions will be designated one week prior to the date of the parade. All entries should go to their assigned places by turning onto Ben Wilson from the
Port Lavaca Highway. There will be persons there to direct you to your place. The parade start time is 10AM. A ceremony will be held at 11AM in front of the Community Center to which you are encouraged to attend.
