CASA Academy will be from 9-3 p.m. on both Saturday June 12 and Saturday June 19. During the week in-between, trainees will read materials, go through online training and do courtroom observations on their own time and at their own pace.  All trainees who complete the course will go through a swearing-in ceremony on June 28 and be ready to take their first case. “Our goal with the Academy is to get 25 new advocates. Currently in Victoria County , we have 56 cases, 123 children and only 10 volunteers, and that simply isn’t enough,” Golden Crescent CASA executive director Tim Hornback said. “If we could get 25 more volunteers that would be wonderful.”  To enroll in the CASA Academy , go to www.GoldenCrescentCASA.org to download an application and background check form and turn in the filled-out forms to the CASA office,
