- Deputy Seger with the Victoria Police Department Crime Scene Unit will lead the students in solving an imaginary crime from clues left at the scene. They will learn to recognize what to look for at a crime scene, why it is necessary to collect evidence and how to preserve it. They will play the role of a Crime Scene Technician to interpret evidence that could be used to prosecute an offender in court. Some of the techniques that they will perform include: fingerprinting, photographs, and securing the scene. A demonstration of footprint casting will be presented.
