| YOUth LEADership Conference – June 11 – 14, 2007. The YOUth LEADership Conference is designed to provide graduating sixth-grade students with an opportunity to develop leadership skills. The program is based on Sean Covey’s book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens. The University of Houston-Victoria, the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and the Victoria Independent School District coordinate the four-day program. To graduate from the program, participants must attend all sessions scheduled June 11-15, 2007 from 8:30am to 4:30pm daily at the Victoria College Student Center. To apply, please request an application from the Victoria Chamber of Commerce at 361-573-5277. Fifty students will be selected to attend the conference. Applications must be received by the Victoria Chamber of Commerce or University of Houston-Victoria by Friday, April 27, 2007. Acceptance letters will be mailed on May 11, 2007.
The conference fee is $45 per participant. Financial aid is available upon request. Please do not send registration fees with the application.
