Children’s Discovery Museum – Texas Our Texas - March 11th-13th at Mitchell Guidance Center - Step back in time and celebrate our unique heritage in remembrance of Texas Independence Day (March 2, 1836). Texas heritage organizations will set up their camps and artifact displays in order to share their skills and knowledge of various aspects of Texas history including: Pioneer Women; Buffalo Soldiers; Native Americans, the Camel Corp; and Cowboy life.

Thursday and Friday of the 3-day event are primarily reserved for student field trips. Any grade level is welcome but special consideration will be given to 4^th and 7^th grade classes since Texas history is part of their curriculum. Field trips will begin at 9am.

Admission for school groups is $2.50 per student. Teachers are free as well as two adult chaperones per 10 students. Admission for the general public on Saturday is $3.00 per person or $5.00 for both Texas Our Texas and Children’s Discovery Museum . Children under two, and CDM members are free.
